WR-09 "DESCRIBING A LOCAL DISH"

Spanish omelette is a local dish in Spain. In the first Carlista´s war, they searched for nutritive and cheap food for their troops, then the Spanish omelette was invented.

It´s not difficult to cook, because it has few ingredients: potatoes, eggs, oil, salt, and you can put onion on it.

The first thing is to take all ingredients.

First of all the potatoes are cut into small squares and the onion too.

Next you have to fry the potatoes with the onion; when the potatoes and the onion are fried, you need to drain the oil.

Then the eggs are beaten, and you have to mix with the things that we had fried before.

Finally, you have to take a big pan and throw all the mix and wait until everything is done, turning it over.

People love this dish because the mixtare of the potatoes, eggs and onion is delicious. There are many people who eat it without onion because they don´t like it, and it´s delicious too.

You can buy Spanish omelette in almost all the supermarkets but it doesn´t have the same taste, usually people do it in their houses.

It is always a good moment to eat a Spanish omelette.
