Aoua Kéita, the African icebreaker for women

One of the people that I love the most is my elder sister. Her name is Lucía and she is 23 years old. She is a really cool person, she is very kind and very sympathetic with all the people. Also, she is a really good sister, we get on with each other very well. And she always does whatever she can to make me happy, and helps me. I’m very grateful to have her as a sister.

I admire her a lot, because she started a degree but she didn’t like it so she started working to earn money to be able to go to another city and study what she wants and make her dreams come true. Some years later, she is working in a hospital, she is also working as an administrator in a singing school, and from time to time she goes to restaurants to sing.


I always remember when we were children she was singing all the time, and she always dreamed to be a singer. Now, when I see her singing in restaurants, weddings, etc, I feel very happy. She hopes that in the future, the same will happen with my dreams.


All in all, I’m so proud of her because everything that she proposes, she achieves it. For that reason, I would like to be like her in the future.

A tramp is a homeless person who travels from place to place on foot asking for money or searching for a job. The original meaning of tramp was “walk with heavy footsteps”. Nowadays, there are many people who have had difficult situations in their lives and now they have to live in the street. And like them, there are animals but almost all of them are dogs or cats who have been abandoned by their owners. There are a lot of films which talk about it, and you can understand a little bit how difficult their lives can be. I think to be a homeless person is too difficult because not having a home stops you from sleeping well, not having a space of privacy and security.

Polyglots and Frontliners

  A polyglot is a person who has been learning some languages, in addition to his mother tongue.  I think that being polyglot is so difficult, because you need to hold a lot of information. But I think that all the effort it takes to be polyglot is reflected later in the future, because it has many advantages and it hasn't any disadvantages, because you learn about new cultures, you can travel anywhere and understand everything. Also, knowing many languages allows you to work anywhere, because you can work in different countries, like translator, with the public, etc.

The journey to nowhere

  It's right that this generation has many advantages regarding learning because we have access to all the types of tools for learning. However, I don't think that someone who has more tools is more clever, but the one who has more attitude and positive mind, because many people who have all and don't take advantage of it, and however someone who doesn't have anything and wants to learn, he does whatever for learning new things. Before, some years ago most people didn't even know how to write. Women had to stay at home doing housework, so they didn´t know how to do anything, they had never learned to write, speak a new language, absolutely nothing. Only a few people, most men, had the opportunity to learn. Thanks to the passing of the years, to society evolution and to technology, this situation doesn't happen any longer. All people have the opportunity to learn, to study whatever they want. Technology gives you access to whatever you want to learn, at any time
